Follow the steps below to complete this process.

Short answer: To apply for a CSCS Green Labourer Card you must complete the CITB Health, Safety & Environment (Operatives) test and a Health & Safety Awareness course, then apply for the card.

What you need to know

  • You must pass the CITB Operatives touch screen test within the last 2 years.
  • You must complete a one-day or online Health & Safety Awareness (HSA) course within the last 5 years.
  • You will need proof of both before applying for the card.
  • We can assist with the process of New Green Cards, Renewals and Replacements.

Step 1 – Book and pass the CITB Operatives test

  • Cost: £45
  • Must be taken at an approved test centre

Step 2 – Complete the Health & Safety Awareness course

  • Online course available
  • Must be completed within the last 5 years
  • Cost: £156
  • Requires laptop/desktop with webcam

Step 3 – Apply for the CSCS Green Card

  • You will need your HSA certificate.
  • You will need your CITB test score report.
  • Application fee: £65
